Bailouts, More Bailouts, and Even More Bailouts

Published by kieryelnora at 11:28 am under Common Sense, Culture, Politics Edit This

Why is the answer to every government and economic problem always to throw money at it? Are we afraid of reform? Are we afraid of the political consequences of eliminating anything that’s not productive? Are we just being guilt-tripped into not messing with the status-quot by the media?

We learned with the last bailout that throwing money at the problem (especially without oversight) didn’t change anything. Rather than being responsible with our money, Congress decides on another bailout. If we’re too scared to make any changes and let the market correct itself and all we end up doing is throw money at the economy, we’re going to end with inflation, not a better economic system.
